I’ve heard from a few seniors and friends with aging parents the advice to move to a retirement community while you are still active and relatively healthy both physically and mentally – and, while you are still a couple.
It is a lot tougher to make what is perhaps the most stressful and difficult household move of your life when you are alone and/or not healthy enough to actively participate. Plus, making the move to the community early means establishing a like-minded support group and frankly, having way more fun that anyone anticipates.
